Leadership Institute

 With the many challenges facing the addiction workforce, it is important to begin developing leaders for the future. Offered in partnership with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) and Partners for Recovery (PFR), the Northwest Frontier ATTC Leadership Institute uses a combination of educational experiences and mentoring to prepare addiction professionals for positions of agency leadership.  If you have any questions, please contact Mary Anne Bryan, Leadership Institute Project Coordinator, at 503-378-6001 or bryan@ohsu.edu


The Northwest Frontier Addiction Technology Transfer Center has offered a unique professional development opportunity to individuals in the addiction field in Oregon, Washington, Alaska and Hawai'i since 2005.  Each Leadership Institute spans a six-month period, the program uses a combination of educational experiences and mentoring, to prepare addiction professionals for positions of agency leadership.  A listing of Leadership Institutes presented in NFATTC's region include:

    • Washington Leadership Institute 2005 - Snoqualmie Pass, Washington
    • Oregon Leadership Institute 2006 - Portland, Oregon
    • Hawai'i/Alaska Leadership institute 2007 - Honolulu, Hawai'i
    • Washington/Alaska Leadership Institute 2008 - Seattle, Washington
    • Oregon's Native American Leadership Institute - 2009 - Warm Springs Indian Reservation, Oregon
