n My Own Words... A compilation of essays by individuals supported by Medication-Assisted Treatment in long-term recovery
In recognition of the 2011 National Recovery Month, the ATTC National Office, in partnership with Faces & Voices of Recovery and the National Alliance for Medication Assisted (NAMA) Recovery, sponsored the 4th annual "In My Own Words …" Essay Contest and invited individuals who have been supported by Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) to share their own story of recovery. In their own words, they were asked to describe the most challenging part about MAT and explain why they are committed to recovery. The top 20 essays are presented in the compilation.

Know Your Rights:  MATSAMHSA's Partners for Recovery Brochure: Know Your Rights: Rights for Individuals on Medication-Assisted Treatment
This brochure aims to reduce discrimination by giving people in MAT (and their advocates) basic information necessary to exercise their rights or, at a minimum, know where to turn for help. It also seeks to reduce discrimination by educating those who might discriminate (e.g., employers, housing providers, and government agencies) about such laws, as well as about MAT itself.

 

Medication-Assisted Treatment for Opioid Addiction 2010 State Profiles

Profiles each state's certified opioid treatment programs and physicians certified to practice medication-assisted therapy for opioid addiction. Provides data on the number of patients, treatment type (maintenance and/or detoxification), and accreditation.
