Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is a potentially live-saving option for many clients and patients to help support them in their recovery from opioid or alcohol addiction.
This website was developed as a resource for treatment providers and medical professionals in order to increase outreach, access and retention in MAT, especially for specific minority populations. Here, you can enroll in the ATTC Network's self-paced online course on MAT, download or order informational materials on MAT to use with your clients or patients, and learn more about MAT and specifically, how to increase outreach and engagement of African American, Asian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino(a) or Native American/Alaska Native populations.
If you are an addiction and/or a mental health specialist and do not have medical training, then the Mid-America ATTC's searchable medications database, www.findrxinformation.org, is for you! This Rx Database is designed as a "desk-top reference" of medications commonly prescribed in the treatment of persons with alcohol, drug and mental health conditions.
This searchable database offers up-to-date information on generic and brand name medications. It is intended to provide a basic understanding of medication dose, frequency, side effects, emergency conditions, abuse potential, cautions and considerations for pregnant women.
