Mid-America ATTC is again a co-sponsor of an annual American Indian Symposium. This one-day conference is scheduled for November 17, 2008, at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. The goals of the Symposium are: 1) to provide a forum where American Indians can share their strategies, models and tools with individual and organizations which provide services to urban American Indians to overcome barriers in regard to behavioral health, health education and legal needs, and 2) to create effective partnerships to deliver care in the urban community setting and to access the resources needed to create programs that will benefit all American Indian populations. A Call for Presentations is now out to secure workshop presenters in four categories: 1. Behavioral health/mental health 2. Education 3. Health 4.
